This is a short POEA advisory regarding hepatitis C disease. If any of you who are looking for job sin Dubai and you are found to have been nursing Hepatitis C disease before or when you arrive in Dubai, UAE, you will be deported immediately. This is now a deportable disease for people who have jobs or looking for jobs in UAE and that includes Dubai.

This notice was released by POEA and is effective since July 1, 2008 that the United Arab Emirates or UAE which includes Dubai, is considering hepatitis C as one of the deportable diseases in addition to others in the list that was earlier released. These other diseases include HIV, tuberculosis and hepatitis B.  This measure will involve a new test to see if those expatriates applying for Dubai residency and labor visas which includes renewal. If ever anyone on the list will be found with either of the listed diseases that are considered deportable, they will be immediately sent back to where they came.
