This time, I’d like to discuss a little bit about the nature of data entry or work in IT related jobs. Basically, thre are two types of data entry jobs, one is home based and the other is office based. With the growth of the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry came the opportunities to outsource these data entry jobs.
They usually come as accounting or money related figures that you have to enter in a database for future reference of the outsourcing party. Another is from hospitals or doctors who can’t handle the pressure of work and having to keep the records of patients by the thousands.
This where the original source of data entry jobs came from so if you have basic knowledge about entring data in a database, more or less, you can serve the purpose for needs of this type of work. On the other hand, you might undergo a little training if needed but it would need minimal supervision because everything will be the same type of work all the time and everyday.
So for those who are interested to work on a data entry system, you must have the patience of doing rhetorical or repetitive jobs and you will have to cope up with the need to adjust you eyesight because you will be obliged to stare at your computer in at least an 8-hour duration eveyday of your life even if you work at the office or at home. Mind you thought that this type of jobs may also be a legal papers or data entry type of work so all that you will be working with is of utmost precision and importance. No room for mistakes.
