Job Description:

A  construction manager is needed to perform a challenging role for a consulting company and must be an experienced Construction Manager. Position for the Construction Manager is open with a leading cost management firm that is based in Dubai. This specific Construction Management position will expect from the qualified people who will apply duties involving comprehensive work on both major building and civil engineering project types in Dubai. The lucky personnel who will be hired have to perform both pre contract jobs as well as post contract duties.

Main Duties:

• Responsibility for project contract execution and effectively communicating contract and project scope details to all team members
• Serve as the team leader for project execution according to corporate policy, procedure manual and contract document
• Provide client’s interface creating a positive image for corporate while maintaining positive project profitability
• Coordinate and participate in project meetings; prepare and distribute meeting minutes and assure action is taken on all outstanding questions
• Have ultimate responsibilities for project quality assurance including development and implementation of project quality plans
• Review customer specifications to assure compliance; distribution and communication of same to team members including review and distribution of all process requirements
• Maintain financial control of the projects including monthly forecasting of cost expectations
• Approve any change in project scope and change order implementation
• Coordinate the purchase of all equipment and material in a timely manner to maintain schedule performance and minimize work interruption at the fabrication shop
• After discipline engineer approval, all drawings, purchase inquiries, requisitions and correspondence are to be approved by the project manager prior to issue by the project team
• Coordinate the activities of the project team members, drafting, fabrication, and field erection as well as activities of outside vendors/suppliers to assure that the project remains in control at all times
• Prepare monthly progress reports completed on time and accurate
• Communicate completion of project milestones to accounting to insure timely invoices to client
